The Port of Tallinn consists of three different passenger terminals: Terminal A, Terminal D and Linnahall Terminal. Terminal D is used by Tallink ferry ships, which operate Tallinn-Helsinki and Tallinn-Stockholm lines. If you want to do some last minute alcohol shopping, there are couple of licenced shops in the terminal. Lootsi Keskus shopping centre and SuPer Alko off licence shops are located in close proximity, but besides alcohol and overpriced souvenirs these places don’t have much to offer. So, if you are planning to do some shopping, then we recommend heading to Tallinn city centre, which is 10-15 minutes walk away from the harbour.
You can also take a taxi from the harbour. However, just like every other terminal in Tallinn also Terminal D has a long queue of taxis waiting in front of it, but we never use them, as quite often these are the taxis which charge much higher rates than for example the ones that we normally hire (check out our taxi recommendations for Tallinn). Anyway, if you decide to take a taxi from the harbour, then we highly recommend fixing or at least asking the price in advance.
The location of Passanger Terminal D can be found on the Tallinn map below.
