The Rusalka statue is probably Tallinn’s most famous site for wedding shoots and every weekend it attracts numerous new wedding couples. The statue is located by the Baltic Sea coast with beautiful views across the sea. It’s worth visiting the statue especially when heading to the Kadriorg Park.
Those interested in the history of the statue – Rusalka is one of Estonia’s most acknowledged and appreciated pieces of art. It was sculptured by Amandus Adamason (1855-1929), one of the best-known Estonian sculptors. The statue was completed in 1902, in memory of the Rusalka ship, which sank in 1893 claiming the lives of 177 sailors.
