St. Olaf’s Church Tower is one of the best viewing platforms in Tallinn and we recommend visiting it, especially if you want to admire the Old Town from a new perspective. The stairs to the tower are narrow and long, so if you have physical disabilities or aren’t in the best of shape, then we advise thinking twice before starting the climb. Of course if you feel that you can do it, then just go for it, as walking around the tower and enjoying the view is a great experience. We have climbed it half a dozen times and are probably going to climb it again. 🙂 From the tower you can see, for example, Tallinn railway station, Kalamaja district, Old Town, Port of Tallinn, and Toompea hill. Tickets to the tower cost 2€ for adults and 1€ for kids (kids under seven years old are free). Tickets can be purchased from the church’s lobby from 10 am to 6 pm (closed on national holidays), but remember that the tower is open only in the summer time (01.04-31.10).
